Riss Principe is an interdisciplinary artist and maker based in the Hudson Valley.

With a passionate interest in wearable and functional art, Principe's creations are often made in response to the homeware or fashion desires of them and their loved ones. Through working this way, their current craft practice has evolved to include a blend of printmaking, sewing, quilting, and reworked textiles.

Principe earned their Bachelor of Science in Visual Arts from The State University of New York at New Paltz with a focused study in printmaking and papermaking. Their works with paper have been included in exhibitions at The Morgan Paper Conservatory, Utopia Upstate, and the DRAW Gallery where they have also been a teaching artist. Principe's work has been published in Mine Magazine, the Assembly Art Journal, and Hand Papermaking Newsletter.
